how do you put the sidekick 2008 on vibrate?

i would like to have my phone on vibrate and it seems that when it is in "buzz" mode, it is completely silent when i get a text message instead of it vibrating like i would like it to.
how do i make sure that when i get text messages, it vibrates? please help!
