How do you put the Nokia E 71 phone ON? please please PLEASE help?

Look for the button with a circle and a line in the middle, may not be the end call button. Press it for like a second and let go, it should turn right on.
 
Well my cell phone ran out of battery today and it went off. It's new so I don't know much about it. I charged it for 15 mins and then I pressed and held my finger still on the red (end call) button but it wouldn't start. Am I pressing the wrong button? I've left it on charge, it's charging fine, just not coming on. HELP. :(
