i have a debate in less than two weeks for government concerning current events and hot topic issues in congress.
and my teacher isn't helping. what should i do?
In public speaking the best thing to do is to know your subject inside and out. A thorough understanding of your position and the arguments against it will do wonders for your confidence and effectiveness. Good luck.
What's a bigger issue for you? Speaking in front of people? Or adequately gathering enough talking points or facts to defend your position in a debate?
Go in with an open mind and don't ever feel that you can't speak your mind whatever your affiliation. Something from the heart is more valuable than just towing the line.
