How do you pierce a tongue?

I know it is illegal so don't tell me that. I wanna do it for my friend because I have done it for myself and it worked out great. I used a regular needle but is there anyway to do it better and if you don't have a good answer then don't answer this.
 
by a jeweler as he is a professional by any jeweler so ur dun as it is illegal its ur choice
 
Go to a tattoo/piercing place and have them do it. or a doctor can do it. I wouldn't risk doing it yourself, but to answer your question: Lots of ice, honestly, I know someone who used an ice pick as the gauge is bigger and a tongue ring can go in it afterwards. Using a regular needle won't work and will only hurt. :) good luck.
