How do you manually program Verizon/Sprint Phones to Cricket?

Truthfully I have read quite a few of these posts when it comes to Flashing phones to cricket. Especially since I have a Treo 700w (Verizon) that I wanted to flash to Cricket to replace my sh*ty Provider phone. It is not as easy for us smartphone users to do as some of the cell users with similar model phones like the Moto Razer were you can just flash the phone with the cricket software. I finally winded up caving in after seeing that I would have to either buy a serial cable for about 50 to 60 bucks to use qpst to program the phone over, so I took it to a Local Cricket provider in my area who flashes phones and sells them.

I was sceptical after reading so much on this and other forums about what neeRAB to be done to flash these phones over to Cricket. I gave the guy my phone and he messed with it for about ten minutes not connecting it to any computer or looking up any informaton on the web He handed it back to me and said "that'll be $40 bucks. Of course I didn't beleive it and attempted to make a call out........Holy baby jesus it's actually working!!!

What did this guy do to this phone that it seems no one else on this forum knows? Of course I found out later that i still need the serial cable to get WAP working on my Treo, but that is besides the point.

CAN ANYONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME????

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS AND PROVIDE DETAILS IN EXCRUTIATING PAIN

I am about to get another Treo and this one is for my wife so this info would be very useful to me and I'm sure anybody else who would read this thread.

its been discussed many times. Verizon has their MSL as 000000 so take a sd card with the cricket prl on it go to the phone and type ##PRL, talk type in 000000 load the prl reset the phone, activate it with cricket and dial *228

If it's that simple you Rock, is it the same for sprint phones and this guy did not load anything on the sd card. I would like to know how he got the prl in the phone with out connecting it to his computer. That is what is confusing me the most. He had the phone in his hanRAB the entire time.

no sprint phones are different. This doesnt work all the time but he probablly just dial *2280* the last star being a nuraber depanding on market

OK so we have an answer some what on the PRL mystery?

Does any one have anything different on this?

Is there anyone out there on what neeRAB to be done to a sprint phone to use it with Cricket? If so would appretiate a step by step instruction.

OK, I am a bit confused. I go to my treo600 (verizon) and type in ##PRL and "dial" (dont have talk) and it wants to dial ##775??? I type in #*#000000 and can get to my activating phone screen with all the esn, phone nuraber, etc... What am I doing wrong?

I have a verizon treo 700p that I took into a wireless repair store to have it converted to cricket. After they set the phone up for cricket, they advised that it will only work for calls and text. I cannot send picture messages or get on the internet, and i also bought a cable and it will not allow me to do a hotsync. I have another treo 700p that i am using on verizon service and i have no problem hotsyncing this phone. If anyone can help me with this issue PLEASE let me know!!!!!!!!!!!!
