How do you make a simple but effective FM antenna for a home stereo receiver?

I have a Pioneer VSX-605S receiver but have not antenna for the thing. It gets only 1 station in without an antenna and it is clear. all other stations are fuzz.

It has the hookups in the back for FM and AM. I read on one article that you can take a speaker wire about 10 feet long and clip it in and that will work.

any other ideas?

Usually an FM antenna in a receiver is just a wire you plug in so yeah, that sounds about right. Can be less than 10ft I think.
