...without "jailbreaking" it? I'm looking into getting a new phone this year, and I know nothing about Android at all. I currently have a WinMo 6.5 phone, and I love it, except that it crashes frequently and does not have the massive support that the iphone has (for example, my bank only makes an app for the iPhone). I know Android is getting mad popular, but I was wondering if it offers the same freedom and customizability that WinMo offers? I'm leaning away from the iphone b/c I'm not really interested in voiding my warranty as soon as I get it just so I can customize my phone to suit my needs. I may wait until WinPhone 7 comes out at the end of this year, but it seems like Microsoft is losing the mobile battle and I really want to stay with an operating system that will offer plenty of applications for simple things (ie banking). Can anyone give me some insight on the Android OS, or pros and cons as to which mobile operating system you prefer?
