How do you learn how to do colorguard?And could you please tell me anything you know

about the sport? How can i learn it?The year after the next my highschool will have a colorguard and i really want to do it but i dont know how to get started.Any tips?Anything about colorguard would be helpful.Thanks!
And if dancing is the wrong catagory what would be a good one for colorguard?to put questions in i mean.
I know what color guard is i but i want to know how to learn it so i can make the team and it looks like so much fun i want to learn soon.
 
My friend does colorguard and she waves a flag around. i think it has to do with marching band because i have seen them perform. Im sure they will all teach you the routines if you want to wave the flags and i hear it is a fun sport. Have Fun :D
