How do you know when and pork chop is cooked?

when it isnt pink how are you cookin it if in the oven it will be a brownish gray and fried it will be white in the inside
 
Before the advent of meat thermometers we would cook a pork chop for 20 minutes on medium to low heat. That is 10 minutes per side.
 
juices run clear, no pink inside, only opaque white meat. OR take the temp and inside it shoudl register 155ºF
