How do you install windows 7 using boot camp on a mac?

I have a white 2007 macbook with mac OS Snow Leopard on it and I am trying to use Boot Camp to install Windows 7 64 bit. When I put the disk in and try to boot from it i get a window that asks to "select boot type" and gives me an option of "1 or 2". The problem is it will not recognize my keyboard or anything so i have to turn the computer off and give up.

I tried to follow the link

... but I honestly am not as good with computers as this guy and cannot seem to get what he explains to work

If someone could elaborate on this person's tutorial or possibly offer an alternative solution it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
Cody
