How do you install 5.7 rods in a small block Chevrolet 350?

I have factory 5.7 rods with pistons installed. I noticed that the big end of the connecting rods are offset. Should the wider side of the rod be facing toward the crackshaft counterweights or the other way around or does it matter at all? Any help is much appreciated!
