I currently have a Magnavox vcr/dvd player and a Sanyo tv. I am wanting to hook my vcr/dvd player so I can record movies and stuff. Does anyone know how I am able to do this?
PS: Thank you so much for your help and have a nice day/night!
PSS: My problem is that I can't figure out how to hook them both up at the same time so that I can record. Right now I have to eather hook up my vcr/dvd player or my direct tv. I want to hook up my vcr/dvd player and my direct tv at the to my TV so that I can record stuff.

I am not faniliar with DirectTV though I feel it should work the same as other receivers. The simplest way is to purchase 3 RCA splitters. Plug the single end of each splitter to the DirectTV console AV out. Then for each splitter, 1 goes to TV AV in and the other to VCR/ DVD recorder. It is not a neat solution as you can only record what you are tuning/ watching. Most likely you were not be able to view and record a different channel. Hope this helps.
