I have a brand new JVC something stereo that I installed in my car and it works fine but I'm kind of depressed with my 07 Hyundai Tiburon GT's bass. So I decided I was going to buy a subwoofer with the little money I have. I found a very good Pioneer sub and an enclosure but the only decent amp for a decent price is an extra $200~300 I don't have. I was wondering if it was possible to just hook the sub directly up to the stereo through the RCA outputs and buy the amp when I get the money? I'm not experienced in car audio at all or electrical wiring for that matter but if someone could clarify this and if I do need an amp tell me how to set it up(I guess I can scrape money out of other budgets if needed)?
It seems I need the amp, but if I got a weak amp from a good company for a powerful sub would it be alright until I get the money for a better amp?
