how do you groom a chinese crested powder puff for showing?

My Chinese crested is curly...

If you want to really learn how to show groom a powderpuff CC, go to the national club's site and contact the corresponding secretary. Ask for a mentor, and they will set you up with someone reasonably local to you so you can learn. Actually joining the Chinese Crested club nearest you will help as well. Good luck. You need to blow dry the dog while straightening out the coat with a slicker brush will drying that area. Do not leave any area until it is completely dry or it will curl. If the coat dries before you finish, use a spray bottle to wet the dry part down. Any moisture in the coat will curl it up. Good luck
