SO, as you all know I'm slowly healing from my fusion (one month). My daughter has brought me for a walk (like a dog lol), yesterday and today, it was great going with her as I've been afraid I'd get stuck somewhere with pains, now I know I can make it so far alone. I made it around the block yesterday, without hardly use of my cane, (xtra half pain pill tho), and today we went double that. I am exhausted, sweating like a pig, hurting more, and completely out of breath to the point of getting dizzy. I yawned the entire way back home and sucked wind. I'm dying to take a bath, but I don't think I could get in and out of the tub let alone the laying down to be able to get back up!
As I have been 90% bedridden for 9 months, with only going to the bathroom, or my kitchen, and on occasion on the high times rarely checked my mail, how long til I am close to not dying from walking around the block?
Does PT kill you? Maybe aquatherapy is better? I can't drive yet, I'm going to ask the dr next week if I can try, but with the nerve pains, I think unless he can up the pain meRAB more, (even thou I'm on a lower med than the percocet, maybe up the lower med), or put me on neurontin, what else can I do to try to get my body back upto par?
I cant really tighten my stomach muscles yet, it hurts my back alot. I try to do the but cheeks tho lol don't know if it helps, but, what else can I do. Leg lifts are out of the question.
I cant do crunches or anything, I am only one month post op. I've gained 30? or 25 Lbs in the past 9 months (I'm at 155 from 125/130), moreso recently, I was losing for awhile cuz I couldn't get to the kitchen or open the fridge door and no one was home to help me. Then I got alittle better, then crashed terribly, but then more peeps were around to feed me LOL
I have LIVED completely in bed for a very long time. What do you think I should ask the dr when I go this week? PT? Aquatherapy? too soon and give it another month? I am excited I got to go around the block and if it weren't for Meggs kicking but in her recovery, I wouldn't of even tried yet due to the nerve pains, I haven't been out like that since last summer, I spend all the rest of summer, last fall and this past winter, in bed. I get exhausted from just the walk and sleep for 2hrs when I get home it tires me out so badly. I once went to my SO's house in the miRABt of this prior to the 2nd surgery, and just to get down the steps and go in the car, and to his house I slept for 2hrs when I got there. I am a mess.
Thanks for any ideas or things to ask the Dr next week.
