how do you get WiFi on the first blackberry storm?

i got a blackberry storm from some one on Craigslist list for $50 i asked him why so cheap and he said he got an iPhone i put my Sim card in it was fully operational so i bought it come to find out a couple of days later it was the first one so i tried to update it to get internet and WiFi but no luck.................can any one help me
