how do you get the wifi and bluetooth on a mac to work together at the same time?

I have a printer that uses bluetooth to connect, but for some reason, it won't work when my mac is connected to the internet via wifi. So I have to turn off wifi every time I have to print something which gets pretty annoying. Any way to fix this?
