How do you get the water out after cooking pasta?

I read the directions on the package for pasta. I get water to a boil and put the pasta in. However after 15 minutes the pasta is done but there's still water. I don't understand how your supposed to get the pasta out of the water. I've tried using a fork but it eventually gets to hot and it takes to forever to get pasta out. The pasta is rigatoni.

Seriously? Ever hear of a colander? Ya know, a big bowl looking thing with little holes for the water to drain out of???

It's called a strainer, you can get them at any supermarket, were you born yesterday? or you can hold the lid down, with a sliver of opening and pour the water out.

use a strainer, put it in the sink, put the whole pot in there and the water drains out.
