How do you get the Sim walls to stop flashing red and black?

If I have to reinstall, will it be possible to save my sims and their lives separately? Can I save their files separately and then put them back when the game's been reinstalled? Please help, those walls are soooo annoying!
 
Yes you can remove your saved games file before you uninstall, then just put it back when you reinstall it...

But this sounds like an issue with your graphic card, so uninstalling and reinstalling in all likelyness won't help.. Sounds like your card is on the verge of biting the dust.
