how do you get the Motorola citrus to send pictures?

I know how to send a picture message but when I send it no one receives a picture from me, they wont get a message or anything it's really pissing me off and when someone sends me a picture I'll get thee message but when i click download it'll say downloading then it'll just stop and wont let me download it. Oh and I have unlimited text and picture/video messaging
