how do you get off xanax by using klonopin

well if it is persribed there both in the bezo family . should not be hard at all .klonapin has a 12 hour half life an i think is a bit stronger. xanax has about a 6 hour half life so you may benafit more from klonapin . when used responceably.:)
 
Hi Karen. Are you trying to detox from xanax by using klonopin? Is that the question?
 
It can be dangerous (even deadly) to suddenly stop taking xanax (depending on how long you've been on them). Don't do this without a doctor's guidance.
 
I was on Xanex in the late 80's for one year and ate them like candy to decrease my stress causing very painful Gastritis. WARNING: Do not try to attempt getting off or weining from Xanex except under strict Dr's guidance....I had hospital supervision and was given a drug called Melorile to counter some of the harsh withdrawals. The total withdrawal time was four months but it does get easier. (still hard) You can go into convulsions if you are not under Doctor's care. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking it is okay to try on your own. NOT THIS DRUG!
