I took my car to a mechanic to find out what was the problem with my AC after several years of being without it. Initially he told me he would only charge me 50$ to tell me what the problem was and if I chose to use him to fix it he would waive the fee and just charge me parts and labor, and also a leak test.
Well, he spent 3 hours on my car then told me he didn't find any leaks and that there was nothing wrong with my compressor.
However 3 days later (I didn't drive the car till then). All the darn freeon leaked out. Ugh. I'm back at square one, and I'm thoroughly pissed because he was supposed to only charge me 50$ in the first place and the final bill came up to $130 (inc. tax.). I still don't know what the freaking problem is!
I'm even more pissed b/c my fiancee's friend could have done what he did for virtually nothing!
I feel obligated to go back to this guy now because I feel like I gave away my money!
