How do you fish day flies? (on lake)?

Fly fishing is really an art and it takes a lot of practice to get good at it, not only just fishing the fly, but knowing which one to use, just how to present it, and how to locate the fish in the lake, river or stream. I have only fly fished a few times, it was a lot of fun but I stick to regular fishing now. It would be best for you to find someone in your area that fly fishes and see if you can go with them sometime and get some pointers, that's how I did it. Some places actually have fly fishing clubs that meet monthly or so and discuss the topic, you could find a good fishing buddy there.

You may get some better answers for this question if you post it in the "Fishing" section, this is the "Fish" section and really deals with keeping fish, not catching them. Good luck though and hope you figure it out.

im new to the art of fly fishing and would like some help on how to fish dry fish? anyone help me?
