How do you find ammo for Lincolns repeater in fallout 3?

I just found Lincolns repeater and it only has 12 shots and I thought it was a special hunting rifle but when I find hunting rifle ammo the repeaters ammo doesn't go up and I'd like to know how to find ammo for it. Thanks
