Zyrtec makes some people drowsy but it tenRAB to go away over time. If it makes you drowsy, take it at bedtime. It's never made me drowsy,.

While my car was greener last week, I'm starting to get some of the effect of the pollen. First it was a cough. Then felt like asthma almost where I let out a little weaze at the end of the cough. Then the tingly in the back of my mouth. While the more randomest thing can cause me allergie (lucky me- angiodema (and dermatagraphism) when ever i scratch anything!), pollen never really effected me like it seems to effect most. But today my sinus seemed to have dried up and is causing tingling. Just took a loratadine (Claritin- I believe its cheaper than Zyrtec if you need to use often) and its working.

hope you feel better

I didn't think having a high tree pollen was a big deal, but maybe it is. The thing is, I don't know what a common symptom is of it if you have allergies to basically everything outdoors. Are headaches common? I mean, if I don't go outside, it feels like I still get the symptoms anyway. How does that happen? I do have indoor dogs (3) that go in and out through out the day but I wouldn't think that would have any effect on me. Can someone give me insight as to how I would have symptoms without even going outdoors?

OK, update...

I took a zyrtec and wow..it knocked me for a loop! I felt like I could sleep for days!! In fact, I slept more than I ever had..but on the flip side of that coin, my allergies didn't bother me too much so, now I have to be on this med (which has helped) but feel tired all the time now? I do mean mean TIRED!

It still affects you, even if you dont' go out. Trust me, it is awful this season. There are all sorts of allergy medicine you can take and they should help ease the symptoms a bit. Good luck.

Try taking it at bedtime. Most people report that the drowsiness goes away after a while.

If your dogs have pollen on them, then they are bringing it in to your house. Keeping the dogs out of your bedroom will help .
