I see them on the bus, White people who clean gutters, pick up trash on the freeways, move furniture, wash dishes, etc. who earn just enough to live in a dive, buy a bus pass and buy groceries from the 99 Cent Shop. What do you think of them? I was always taught that poor people are that way b/c they are lazy, but I have met a lot of working poor whilst living in both Las Vegas and Phoenix, they're not lazy, they do work for a living, they earn just enough to be disqualified from getting state aid in regards to health insurance and cannot buy insurance on the private market as it's beyond their price range.....what is to be done with them? Is it easier to sleep at night believing that poor people are all like that b/c of drugs, laziness and choice?
