How do you feel about coworkers arguing with each other in the open in the workplace?

Their is this one other secretary I work with that dislikes me and vice versa. She can be fine one minute and have an attitude with me the next for no apparent reason. I said a long time ago I am not arguing with this lady on the job. In the end I will look bad. She always tries to get me to argue with her. It is like being back in middle school. A girl doesn't like you so they try to pick a fight for no reason.
Ben their is another woman between us. When she is there its not as bad when she is off oh boy. She tries not to look my way. But sometimes she doesnt have much of a choice.
 
I can empathize with you. I feel like they're just trying to provoke us but you have to always remember she is not worth your time and energy. As much as you want to get back at her, you have to find another solution, discreetly tell her off. She'll know not to mess with you. She probably sees you as competition, or some jealousy issues there.
 
Try not to argue goes without saying, but its important that you document everything. Get yourself a notebook you can use and write down what happened the date and time etc. This way when and if it ever comes down to your job being threatened or you being disclipined you have your documentation to show to your boss. This will help you a lot. You may try talking to a supervisor about the situation, but again you dont want to be labeled a snitch either.
 
Talk to your boss or go to human resources about it, because it's really unprofessional of her to act like that. Just let them know that you've tried to settle it between the two of you but that she hasn't been very cooperative. Let them know that you don't like each other and that's fine, but that she can't seem to leave in her personal life. Explain that that your finding it hard to do your job with her acting the way she does.
