I have a disposable camera that I took on holiday with me. One of the pictures on it is embarrassing and I would not like anyone to see it. But the rest I would like to get developed. So I was wondering how to erase an individual photo from the camera.

There is no way to "erase" pictures from film. Film is light sensitive...when it is exposed to light, it causes a chemical reaction on the film and it captures an image. The image is almost literally "burned" onto the film. There is no delete, there is no erase. It's there forever.

If you have some embarrassing pictures on the film that you don't want anyone to see, than what you can probably do is ask the lab to "Develop Only" with no prints. They will develop the film and then give you the negatives, but they won't develop the pictures. Then you can look at your negatives and see which pictures you actually want developed. Look at the negatives and find the pictures you don't want anyone to see...then just cut them off with scissors. Do it very carefully and only cut in between frames. Hold the negatives by the edges and don't get fingerprints on the images. Also, don't cut the negatives any shorter than 3 frames. Then just take your negatives back to a photo lab and tell them you want prints and tell them which pictures. No one will ever know about your other pictures.

LOL..."erase" film pictures. This question was funny. Let me guess, you've only ever used digital cameras before??

if you are taking it somewhere to get developed, then i dont think theres a way but if you are doing it yourself, then you can cut it out after the developing process
