I'm in that "group" and all my friends are grinding/freaking at parties (ect) we are 14. I know, not appropriate, so that's why I don't do it. I havn't even had a boyfriend yet. I don't want to grind until i'm at least 15, so how do I do what I want without being seen as a prude? No one is pressuring me.
How do you dump your image of being a prude?

If you're not being pressured, and even if you were, I wouldn't worry about it. Strength of character is not at all popular these days, but it's one of the greatest and most admired traits. In the end, people (especially young people) will pick on those who display a weakness.. such as insecurity or lack of self-confidence, and it will usually have nothing to do with the thing they are picking on you for. Just feel confident in your decisions and no one will dare question them. Throughout my early teenage years I got called a 'prude' or a 'nerd' or 'weird' ... However, once I learned not to feel ashamed about my personal choices and personality, people stopped teasing me. Your decisions are YOURS to make, not other people's. Instead of changing your image, work on your inner strength and confidence (martial arts helped me a lot with this), and the people around you will respect your dignity and individuality.
