How do you dispose a dead betta fish?

How do you dispose a dead little fish? Any other way than flushing it down the toilet.
I never flushed a dead fish down the toilet. I just think it's not humane. I really don't know what to do with my dead betta fish.
 
The fish is dead - there is no more being humane once the animal has already died. It can't feel pain anymore, so being humane is non applicable.

If you just don't like the idea of flushing, other options include putting it in the trash, burying it in the yard, or just tossing it into the yard to feed wildlife.
 
flush it
bury it
burn it
put it in the trash
eat it
preserve it and put it on the wall
finely grind it and add it to pasta
let it break down
the possibilitys are endless
 
My mother always flushed our dead fish in the toilet, but you could also bury it in the backyard. And depending on how long it's been dead- some pet stores will take the fish and use it as food for other fish. Good idea for recyling. :)
