I was with my sister and her friend at the school dropping off my niece when this women. I'll call her Claire walked past us screaming at her son about how she was going to beat him. And me, my sister and her friend just all looked at each other as if to say that isn't cool.
Claire saw us all looking at each other and called my sister a prick and told her she better watch her back because she is going to beat her up. In front of the parents, teachers and children in the school ground.
The thing is this girl Claire has serious issues. She flies off the handle at the slightest thing. There was another incident where she knocked my sisters door and because she wasn't in she started kicking the door in. The door locks at 6 points so she didn't manage to kick it in completely but when my sister got home she obviously couldn't get the door open and had to have it replaced. Only knowing this after a couple neighbours had told her what happened. My sister and Claire have a mutual friend which is how they know of each other but my sister has kept her distance as Claire goes around beating, hitting, swearing, and basically making peoples life a misery.
I'm just wondering what's the best way to deal with the situation as my sister is going to see her every time she drops off or picks up my niece from school. Claire is going to make my sisters life a misery to try and provoke her or to find any excuse to fight with her.
I told my sister to just continue to ignore her like she already did and walk away from the situation but we all know this is going to enrage Claire and make her worse.
I've asked this questions in etiquettes also but just curious from parents point of views if they have had a situation similar to this and how they dealt with it.
I forgot to mention my sister also had her 8 week old baby with her when she threatened her.
