I want to overlap shapes on Adobe InDesign CS2 but I have to cut out the image on Adobe Photoshop CS4 first. Everytime I put it into my InDesign though, it comes up with a white background and covers the other shapes. How do I change this and have just the image itself?
save it as a psd, not a tif and delete the "background" layer, so you just see a checkerboard pattern. Another way to do it would be to create a path using the paths tab. Or in InDesign you can go to Clipping Paths - Options - Detect Edges.
