How do you create an HTML/CSS dropdown navigation bar?

Im looking to make a navigation bar for a website in which if you had a button that said "about" and you moused over it a menu would drop down under it with several different selections. how can this be done?
Thank you in advance!
i've been trying to find it on google but everything pertaining to drop downs is for forms =/ thats why I came here
