How do you create a resume for a job in the health field?

I am a 22 year old Biology student would like to get a job as a phlembotomist or in the laboratory over the summer. I don't have much work experience but I have been exposed to many different kinds of laboratory techniques (ELISA, RID, PCR, more ) and I would like to put this on my resume. I would like to just avoid putting a work history part in the resume all together, since this will be my first job in the health field. Would this be acceptable?
