I live in an apartment and we aren't allowed to use grills (its a fire hazard..and i'm not about to get evicted over some meat) I'm cooking two and they are average size. how long do i cook it and HOW??? haha. thanks for the help(: and i'm trying to cook this with a little pink in the middle (medium?) and not well done

pat them dry. season with s&p. start them in a hot pan with a little bit of olive oil, maybe 3 or 4 minutes each side then stick them in a 350 oven, maybe another 12 or 15 minutes or so. use a thermometer to check for done-ness (not near the bone, it'll give an incorrect reading), you want it to hit about 125. let it sit before you cut in to it.

they'll smoke, so if you have a range hood blast it, if you don't, have a fan handy with the window open, otherwise you'll set off your apt's smoke alarm (speaking from experience here)

put them on a broil pan in the oven on top of foil, and broil them under the broiler. if you want them pink inside only flip them once

Having a non-stick pan or a cast iron pan works well. Add about 3 tbsp's of oil to your pan, Put it on med heat, and add the steaks, cover and let cook on each side for about 5 mins. This will give you a medium-rare doneness

Cook it just like you would out side . but use a a frying pan and a little cooking oil to keep from burning the steak, take your time cook slow, use your regulator ingredient that you would use out doors.
Keep it simple
