how do you cook hash browns?

i see they sell them at the deli but ive never cooked them before so i don't want to buy them yet. i asked the deli girl but she said she had never cooked them either.. is it easy to cook the already made ones with no instructions or cooking times?

Depends on what kind of hash browns you are referring to.

Hash rounds - deep fry in a fry daddy at 375 til golden brown

Shredded hash browns, in a skillet with oil and over medium heat, it'll take about 15-20 minutes but make sure to not move them around too much until they start crisping.

fry em or grill em until golden brown. your choice but frying em is very greasy

just throw them in a pan with some butter and fry
