how do you cook corn in the microwave?

in a microwave safe dish, place fresh corn cobs and approx. 1and half cups of water (until half way up the cobs) add a pinch of salt and tsp of butter and cook on high for around 10-15mins (depends how many cobs you are cooking. to check if cooked using a skewer or fork and push into core if its easy its ready.
 
For corn on the cob, roll the ear up in waxed paper and twist the ends. Microwave for 2 min. for each ear.
For whole kernel corn, put it in a glass Pyrex dish with a lid. Add about 2 Tbs. of water, for steam. With the lid on, microwave it for 4 minutes. Pour the liquid off, add butter and salt and microwave for another 1 minute. It tastes like fresh from the garden.
