Depends on how high above sea level you stay.
What is your definition of 'perfect'
Soft egg:- 3 minutes. Hard boiled:- 5 minutes.
Boil water with the eggs in, a drop of vinegar (to soften the shell) and a pinch of salt (to raise the temp.)
After 3 minutes rinse under streaming cold water.
Dig out, don't burn your fingers and peel.
(2000ft above sea level.)
Peace.

Boil the water yeah, while boiling put a few shakes of Vinegar into the water, this will stop the egg from breaking, then boil for exactly three minutes

Get the water to fast boiling point. Drop 2 eggs in and start the timer for 4 minutes exactly.

I do this and I get perfect runny eggs! Dont forget your dippy soldiers!

keep washed egg in cold water
put the pan on the gas
when it begins to boil
time for 4 minutes
let it cool for 30 seconds
peel and EAT
