I use KawiClean (similar to Honda Polish, Plexus, et al) with a microfiber towel for when she's buggy and grimey. I typically will keep 'er waxed good, then if I wipe down after a ride I use straight water from a spray bottle...not too much, just enough to lift the bugs...and the stuff comes right off.

Soap, bucket and water...with a microfiber scrub mitt. Eagle One wax as you dry and armorall for the black plastic.

Yep, lot's of time. She's in my dining room right now waiting for the HID conversion kit. Rear rim is at the dealer waiting for me to pick it up with a new Pilot Power on it.

Snow today, mosty sunny and 60 degrees tomorrow and I'm back on road.
I use a cleaner wax like zymol a couple times per year, then for the little cleanings to get bugs and dust off I use a product I have from my car detailing days. It's called "showroom shine", we used it a the dealership to make the showroom cars look perfect. I don't know what it is, but it is awesome.
