In many Commonwealth realms, people win awards/medals or obtain special privileges as a servant of the Crown. As a result, they usually have this title added on to their names whenever they are mentioned in various documents.
For instance, if I was to cite Joe Bloggins, that would be easy. If Bloggins was a member of the Queen's Counsel, I would have to put Q.C. after his name to recognise his rank or achievements, similar to how one would put M.C. or V.C. when referring to those who have won the Military or Victoria Cross, respectively.
I'm not sure how I would approach this matter when concerned with APA in-text citations. Are there any guidelines regarding this?
