I have a 1986 300zx, the tachometer isn't working. I pulled the gauge cluster and I have power and ground going to the gauge. However, I am not sure if the sensing wire going from the coil to the gauge is working. Can you put power to that wire and will the gauge work? Or how do I check to see if the gauge is bad?
