How do you build a Chevy V8 Engine?

Hi, I've got a 79 Chevy Camaro and it's got a shot engine so it's basically a brick right now...and since it's my favorite car ever, I don't want to junk it, or even sell it...I've always wanted to learn this kind of stuff but never got around to it so i was wondering if anyone had a guide or something that would be helpful...I want to build a V8 engine for it starting from the block...so it will be my unique car...I've learned a bit, but I'm still a newbie at it so any help would be great! Thanks!
