People,
Whenever a conservative brings up opposition to socialized medicine, liberals tend to respond with, "well, then why do we have a taxpayer-funded FBI, CIA, post office, highway system, school system, military, NSA, libraries, fire departments, police departments, VA hospitals, FDA, Inspections' bureau for our automobiles, etc." and "if federally-funded programs don't ever work, why do we have a great military and why has the FBI/CIA/NSA been effective in preventing another terrorist attack on our soil?" I'm just wondering, because I like the military and the FBI, would like to know what argumetns conservatives generally use against health-insurance reform if health-insurance companies generally practice rescission, give people waiting lists and deny care, which is the accusation levied against all countries with universal health care. Please help.
