How do you appreciate yourself, others, and environment?

I found a way, about a year ago, to do all three at once. Individually is great, but interaction is necessary to gain happiness.
My friend told me about this group she had joined. Surprisingly, she told me it was a fraternity (turns out, it's co-ed; by the way, did you know that quite a few sororities are TECHNICALLY fraternities?). It's called Alpha Phi Omega; it's a Nstional Service Fraternity. It's THE LARGEST collegiate organization in the United States. There are chapters all over the country (and in a few other countries). The cardinal principals are leadership, friendship, and service. We learn (through practice and education-seminars, lectures, etc.) how to be better leaders and gain skills that you can carry to the work place and life in general. It's a great group of people. In fact, most of my best friends are part of the group. They are, in every sense of the world, my family. We do lots of service for the community, the country, our campus, and, of course, our fraternity/chapter. I've never been happier... helping myself, making new friends, and helping others.
