You can still do it. Maybe sneak a magazine with you. Make sure you can't be caught, during down time go ahead and find a good place. See that's were learning yourself comes in... You really don't have to go into a wild really hard Jerking motion to reach that point... You can still do really short strokes and achieve the same results...
