my girlfriend and i have been together for almost 2 years. Im 21 she's 20. Early in our relationship her doctor told her that the birth control shot she was on wore off early and she got pregnant.
Her mom is very strict and we ended up deciding we weren't financially or physically ready to care for a child. I have been through this before with an ex and I know if you don't move on, it can destroy the relationship at the very least..
I learned my lesson the first time, but even after countless condom uses and thinking her birth control wasn't due for another month, we still had the accident..
Up until now, our sex life has been fully restored. She's not on birth control, but i am using condoms still. I've encouraged her to get on birth control, but she says she has no money, despite my efforts to pay for them. She also hates condoms and now comes to my question.
She won't get on birth control. She won't let me wear condoms. So the choice she's making now after all this time without really talking about it, is abstinence. I fully understand about the consequences of abortion and still to this day i regret both of them and continue working toward my career so one day i can be a father.
I feel it's unfair she's stopping sex altogether without giving a chance to practice safe sex. Am i being unreasonable? If not, what are some things i can tell her to not let this put a halt in our relationship, especially after we've been having sex for some time with no problems?
