How do u scan an image onto a computer?

I have a copy machine and i was wondering if i can scan images onto my computer. if so how?
 
You can if your copy machine is also a scanner/printer. These are called multifunction devices. Usually if there is a scanner there, you should see a scan button somewhere on the device's interface. I don't know what operating system you have, but in Vista it goes as follows:

Start menu>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Scanners. The name of your scanner (if you have one) will show up in the window. If it doesn't then your machine isn't capable.
