How do they transmit video data from f1 cars? (radio/internet)?

I was watching a f1 race on tv a while ago. And I was wondering how it was possible that they were able to show video fragments from the cockpit of the cars. They don't have a cable and wlan won't be able to send data over those distances. I would like to know how it is possible.
