How do i use my home wifi on my blackberry curve 8520?

i had to get a new 8520 and on my old one, when i connected to my home network the EDGE in the upper right corner would change to UMA automatically. on my new one, i connected to my home network exactly like i did before, but it still says EDGE. how do i make it use UMA?
