I have seen people use there gravel cleaners on youtube to suck the water from a bucket back into their fish tanks. However, i am already sturggling to use my gravel cleaner in my fish tank already. Surely it is impossible to pump it back because you are trying to pump water upwards....

If i can't use my gravel cleaner to pump water into my tank when changing how should i do this instead?? I really want to know how as the people don't have to take their fish or anything out and is quick and simple.

Thanks

I already struggle to get the whole of my gravel cleaner in the fish tank as i only have a small baby biorb and i bought the smallest size from the pet shop already...

u don;t have to pump it upwards...

its a basic siphon system, the outlet has to be lower than the inlet... so place the bucket in higher level may be with the help of a chair or table and then try to take the water in the same way u extract from the tank

Walmart sells a 20 foot aquarium siphon, that hooks up to a faucet. You hook it up and turn the water on and it sucks the old water out, push the spout on the faucet end up and twist and the water from your tap will flow into the aquarium. This will only work if you have "safe" well water and it is relatively the same ph and so on. I have one and it works great. Saves a ton of time and keeps my hardwood floors dry.

Weheeey! I'd love to see you trying to pump water upwards like that. You'd get quite wet & possibly the water wouldn't taste too good if you were trying to put it back. That says that it came from a tank originally.
